Important Instruction for Candidates while applying
Before starting eligibility and how to apply I wanted to put some important points mentioned by RBI while applying for this internship.
- Maintain Accuracy: Candidates who are applying for the RBI Summer Internship 2024 scheme are requested to please follow Accuracy while filling out the application. candidates’ names, mobile numbers, photos, addresses, and other details need to be filled in with utmost care. Once the application is submitted no modifications will be allowed.
- Fill all fields: Any online application that is incomplete in any respected field such as photograph, signature, and other details needs to be completed if not your application is not considered.
- Certificate: Candidates should upload a College authorization letter/ Bonafide certificate in the online application form if this certificate is missing your application will not be considered.
- Apply before the deadline: RBI requests candidates don’t wait till the last date to apply as soon as possible and RBI Does not take responsibility for late application submission.
Who can apply?
As this is a Government internship eligible candidates should match the below criteria:
- Students pursuing post-graduate courses can apply.
- Students enrolled in integrated five-year courses in Management, Statistics, Law, Commerce, Economics, Econometrics, Banking, or Finance.
- Students pursuing a three-year full-time degree in Law from any well-known institution/college in India are eligible.
- 2 nd year Students can apply for the RBI summer internship.
NOTE: U G Engineering and degree students are not eligible to apply only post-graduate Students are eligible to apply. However, if you are interested and hold a certificate related to the banking sector can send a cold Mail ( RBI provided mail ID with respect to the different locations)

How to apply for RBI Summer Internship 2024

The selection process for RBI Summer Internship 2024
- RBI mentioned that a total of 120 students will be selected for this Internship scheme.
- Interviews will be conducted for the short-listed in the mentioned office with respective location candidates who apply.
- Candidates who stay in different locations need to travel to the specified location for an interview at their own cost
- Selected candidates will be paid the traveling cost of returning back to their hometown.
- RBI Summer Internship 2024 will be for 3 months from April to July.
The stipend will be Rs.20,000/month.
Foreign Students
RBI offers an Internship for foreign students well, if you are a Foreign student pursuing higher studies in economics, finance, banking, management, law (five-year program), and related fields in universities/institutes abroad are eligible to apply.
How to apply?
Foreign Students who are interested in applying for the RBI Summer Internship 2024 need to fill out the application form specially designed for Foreign Students and send it out a post to The Chief General Manager Reserve Bank of India, Human Resource Management Department (Training & Development Division), Central Office, 21st Floor, Central Office Building, Shahid Bhagat Singh Road, Mumbai – 400 001.
In advance, Foreign Students need to send out an email to cgminchrmd@rbi.org.in
Last date: For local and Foreign Students the Last date is 15 December 2024 to apply.
My Suggestion: You might not the eligible for this internship per RBI Standards, but the RBI has provided an email address related to your respective locations. You can send a cold email with a detailed explanation of why you believe you are strong fit for the position, this approach will help to get a chance for this internship or any other internship
