A total of 69 vacancies have been announced by the Central Pollution Control Board. Candidates who have completed intermediate or a degree are eligible to apply for these jobs. The salary for these positions will range from ₹25,000 to ₹60,000, depending on the post you apply for.

Central Government Pollution Control Department Recruitment:

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for direct recruitment to various posts on a regular basis through open competition. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), a statutory organization under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, operates under the powers and functions provided by the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. Candidates who have completed intermediate or degree qualifications are eligible to apply for these posts. Applicants will be required to appear for a written examination as part of the selection process. Name of the Department and Post: 

Central Pollution Control Board is recruiting for various posts like scientist, Assistant Law Officer, Senior Technical Officer, etc.

Age Limits: 

  1. Minimum age required: 18 Years
  2. Maximum age required: 30 Years as per the post applied
  3. Age relaxation will be given as per rules for Reserved categories

Candidates having Inter or 10+2, Degree are eligible to apply for this posts

Salary Details:

Selected candidates will get a salary from 20,000/- to 60,000/-, as per post they have applied. All the allowances of the central government will be applied for pollution control

Job Location:

Candidates will be posted as per the preference of the appointing authority in India

Selection Process:

  1. Candidates must apply through the official website: https://app1.iitd.ac.in/newregistration.php
  2. The exam fee must be paid online, as per the applicable category-wise fee.
  3. The recruiting authority will verify the submitted documents and issue admit cards for the written examination.
  4. Candidates are required to download the admit card from the official website and attend the exam at the allotted venue.
  5. Selection will be based on merit in the written examination.
  6. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification, where they must present their original educational and study certificates.
  7. The board reserves the right to post selected candidates anywhere in India.
  8. Final selection will be based on the merit list, which will include the names of all selected candidates.

Important Instructions:

  • No TA/DA and accommodation shall be provided for attending the written test, skill/trade test, and interview.
  • Applications shall have to produce original testimonials at the time of document verification for pollution control.
  • All selected candidates will be governed under the National Pension System (NPS), as introduced by the Government of India.
  • Any errors or omissions in the notification or during the selection process are subject to correction as per the applicable rules.
  • For the post of Scientist B, the weightage of the written test and interview will be in the ratio of 85:15.
